Server 2012 R2, unable to change DPI on remote desktop connection

hello,

we have new 2012 r2 rd deployment, , 1 of things seem unable do, change sessions dpi settings when using remote desktop connection.

with 2008 r2, hotfix made available allowed this. in 2012 r2, understanding when using rdp 8.1 enabled client, remote session match local clients dpi settings. if using older rdp client, should able change dpi manually.

as stands, don't seem able manually change dpi, regardless of client using.

the desktop experience pack installed, not sure if there else need enable functionality?

thanks

eds

hi eds,

2012 r2, understanding when using rdp 8.1 enabled client, remote session match local clients dpi settings. if using older rdp client, should able change dpi manually.

as far know, auto dpi exists on windows 8.1 clients, not rdp 8.1 client. other windows clients, need change dpi settings within session, log off , log on make changes take effect.

here related thread below you:

many amy,

i had been trying on windows embedded standard clients, running wes 09 , wes 7. in both cases, unable change dpi.

i don't know if result of update, there tick box says "let me choose scaling of displays".

it seems need tick this, before able adjust dpi settings.
