hello, how can deduplicate filesystem has several vhdx files on it? hello,      have bit of odd question.  i'm trying count number of jobs (in effort count separator pages printed) output our hp network printers, have shared print queues setup on 2 print server 2008 r2 nodes.  i've found lots of powershell scripts parse event 307 or 805 out of windows system event log (after turning print logging on), awesome.  unfortunately our server team doesn't want stuff bogging down log file , causing things want in washed out (apparently have log relatively small). so i'm looking way count number of jobs (preferably printer name) go through server each day.  if point me right direction way i'd appreciate it.  things i've come installing 3rd party tracking program (which takes multiple steps of approval/testing, takes while), or somehow tracking how file separator page gets accessed (which don't know if that's possible) thanks! shahad you can query number of jobs printed through each queue spooler's performanc

hi running 3 node cluster on hyper-v server 2008 r2 on hp blade eva 4400 san storage. we have noticed big impact on disk performance inside guest vm running on windows 2008 server system. on guest vm running on windows 2003/2000 system there normal disk performance. it's strange, becasue happens performance inside vm. each vm have it's own lun (a csv volume). testing throughput host or other physical server  to hyper-v r2 csv volume show 60-100mb/s. testing performance host or other physical server vm running on same lun (csv volume) tested earlier, shows 7-10mb/s. strange testing performance host or other physical server vm running windows 2003 or 2000 (not 2008) show 40-60mb/s. so more specific running 2 vm on 1 hyper-v host each on it's own csv volume (lun). testing disk performance directly csv/lun volume it's normal both volumes. testing disk performance first vm running on windows 2003 it's normal, disk performance second vm running on windows

(are there implications changing ip address on new dc match old dc ip, once dc demoted ?) upgrade child domain we plan introduce windows 2012 r2 member servers , promote domain controller , move fsmo roles accordingly. domain has external trusts, how can taken care? , ensure no impact on trust relationship?. here again, reusing ip address (due various reasons) of existing 2003 r2 dcs once server demoted, issues? we thinking of placing single dcs in sites close 900 employees, best practice , how can requests forwarded identified site in case of dc failur
