we have namespace in our test environment called appsdata.  it had 2 namespace servers, server33 , server66.  server33 retired without knowledge (as happens in our test environment).  it still showing in dfs management mmc though have deleted mmc. when delete mmc, following warning "the namespace \\test.com\appsdata on server33 cannot detected.  the rpc server unavailable.  do want forcibly remove namespace server?"  i click ok , server disappears namespace servers tab.  however, if close down mmc , re-open it, server33 shows up. i have additionally removed reference server33 in adsi edit under remoteservername attribute cn=appsdata,cn=dfs-configuration,cn=system,dc=test,dc=com appsdata. what missing here? hello try read caution before attempting. hope helps. if not can try dfsutil approach. dfsutil /unmapftroot /root:\\test.com\appsdata /server:\\server33 clean root-server entry in active directory if, reason, have removed root server , metadata in

hello, i have problem migration sbs 2008 s2k12 std r2. in our company have 1 server sbs 2008 standard. now time, go server 2012 r2 dc , second server s2012r2 exchange 2013. on new hardware install s2012 , addeed hyper-v role. in hyper-v created 2 server s-mail , s-dc. because want test procedure, create snapshot of physical server via disk2vhd , create vhdx file this. now, have server 2012 r2 3 machines in hyper-v (sbs virtual copy, s-mail , s-dc). on virtual sbs run adprep /forestprep , domain prep install dvd of 2k12 server. no problem this. after added s-dc , s-mail domain.local. on s-dc server, install ad domain service role , promoted server domain controller settings: dns + gc, default-first-site-name, got warning "a delegation dns srever cannot created, because te autoritative parent zone cannot found." after install, config , reboot s-dc, looking in ad , there in domain controllers folder, found sbs virtual , s-dc domain controllers. next i

hello, have deployed 2012 direct access server windows 8 enterprise clients happily connecting. i have pos printer, ct-310. using ct-310 slow when using remote desktop services in windows 2008 r2 (25 seconds print) using generic text driver prints way faster (1-2 seconds) format off. i have created custom form, not listed in paper size. the custom form 80x3276mm.   i not sure why it's not listed @ paper size setting (found printer must able handle paper ??) else want use printer commands options set paper size in there.
