hi, i have dataset in vs2008 application,im using dataset in 1 of crsytal report.my dataset not getting right columns neither im able configure dataset. when open dataset designer , see columns being fetched find 3 columns missing.to solve try have @ dataset query,for when open dataset designer gets error: failed open connection database."an error occured while establishing connection server." although tcp/ip,shared memory,named pipes protocols enabled.i still disabled them , again enabled them , restarted services still gets same error. coming dataset.when click on ok of error message box im getting table adapter configuration wizard,i create connection , continue process update dataset.in process check query in wizard,over there im using select * mytable , innerjoin other table.the query surely correct can column leaving 3 columns. i cant see 3 columns not when go in crystal report designer,i connect dataset there drag n drop  the fields on crystal report stil

hi hoping can point me in right direction here.  have underperforming external vswitch. i testing using lantest (client server) using memory test throughput storage taken out of equation.  setup hyper v 2012 r2 cluster (2 node) patched.  have removed antivirus , firewall disabled.  have been through turn off vmq turn of offload etc on past few days, , nothing makes difference.  here figures odd , not par should happening.  nic's intel i350-t4 using latest intel driver, vmq disabled other offload enabled. integration services date. have tried using latest drivers, 2nd latest , ms one. test physical server (not hv host) to nic on hyper v server (assigned external vswitch) - 800mbps read 800mbps write test physical server virtual guest (2008 r2) 120mbps read 750mbps write (odd write different here) guest receiving traffic seems sluggish. test physical server both nodes external vswitch nic (after enabling allow management share) 800mbps both ways test vm vm on same hos

hello,   we have strange problem 2 terminal servers. hopefully can me problem because don't have options left.   the situation this:   we  have 2 terminal servers in netherlands, 20 people work in belgium using th ese servers on 2 mbit connection. this line dedicated line , traffic comes printers  has lower priority 'normal' traffic. according isp connection not used.   the users work in belgium complaing slow performance of screen , programs ( they see screen being built brick brick).    what did check:   - have checked performance of server, there's nothing wrong it. - have checked thinclients (athena), , thin clients use 16 bit colors  ,  compression on , no themes, backgrounds etc. being used.   - have checked line , traffic drops printtraffic that's because can use 40% of total bandwith. - other traffic (so none printertraffic) having no problems.   and comes strangest part, when shadow user  e verything working perfe

we running windows server 2012 in our small office.  roles include domain controller, dns & dhcp.   physical server has plenty of ram , disk space, wanted load hyper-v 3.0.   server dell poweredge t320 2 physical nics connected our unmanaged switch.   2 nics configured team static address , are functioning perfectly. when install hyper-v role, wizard asks me assign nic virtual switch.  is required?  since physical nics teamed, choose nic team , restart.  after hyper-v configured , running, server loses connectivity.  i check ip address on nic team (which identical hyper-v virtual switch) , correct. what doing wrong?  would better if dissolved nic team , dedicated 1 nic outside connectivity , other hyper-v?  if go scenario, ip address use hyper-v nic/virtual switch?  thanks help. two things: when create virtual switch, there option share network adpater host operating system. make sure have checked. also, post screen shot of virtual switch configuration page , i

hi all, i'm trying install microsoft windows server 2012 r2 standard using media (sw_dvd9_windows_svr_std_and_datactr_2012_r2_64bit_english_-4_mlf_x19...iso) this on older dell box (r510), dell os support pack supports 2012 r2 (now i've updated machine's bios/lifecycle controller/etc). the problem is, load installer, select language, select want indeed install 2012 r2 standard (with gui), @ point goes screen (step 1 of 2) "inventory collection," , 1 more step, never makes beyond step 1.  the install media drive (dvd) spins away (activity light), progress bar never moves, , after 30 minutes or so, consider hung.  if eject disc process takes me initial "install" button. no clue what's going on here, it's stopping me.  this process upgrade 2012 r2 (from windows server 2008 r2), , server network monitoring machine. any ideas appreciated. thanks, mat it seems victim bad install media, or image, or installer process, because wor
