NTFS permission, deny delete file, so many tmp file create

hi  expert,

try set folder/files permission, don't allow user delete files/folder,

after set deny delete files/folders, other options allow.

problem come up:

user can not direct modify file on server, many tmp file create, once change file , press save, , never success change.

user need put file on desktop, after change , put , overwrite it.

any idea issues? whatever do, don't allow user delete files

hi betty,

if not allow users delete files, files not able modified such word files. cannot restrict users deleting files allow them modify/change files.

as workaround, may need setup backup schedule protect files deleting. using vss, can got previous version snapshots.
