Cant connect to the vertual print server after reboot


i have windows 7 print server running on hyper-v.....xp & win 7 machines connected network printer installed in machine....problem when there power cut machine reboots due loss of power , when users cant print...they has remove printer , re-add again works....

 

why happening? there other way stop happening? sure there should something??

 

any information apreciated.

please try following method on client computer troubleshoot issue:

 

1. go command prompt

2. enter command

 

net use lpt1 \\server\printer_name /persistent:yes

 

you can use lpt2 or whatever if prefer lpt1. if printer name has spaces, use double quotes. example, used:

 

net use lpt1 "\\office\hp g55" /persistent:yes

 

3. go printers , add printer local printer, using existing port lpt1 (or whatever port chose in command). refer links below add printer.
