Custom Dictionary corrupted??

we updated user office 2007 o2010 uninstalling o2007 , installing o2010.  user had custom dictionary set and located on network home drive.  see custom dictionary in dictionary list word recognize of entries listed in dictionary when spell checking. when open custom dictionary see contents its in jibberish.  when open original default dictionary can see words.  custom dictionary corrupted if how can uncorrupt.

when open custom dictionary see contents, opening from: c:\users\<user name>\appdata\roaming\microsoft\uproof.  once there, open custom.dic fil , see if displays correctly in notepad?

if not viewable correctly there, word cannot see correctly either.

if add word custom dictionary, word show correctly?
