CertReq - Obtaining the private key - Urgent Question Thx

hello,
i need request website certificate enable ssl within dmz server.
we using windows server 2008 pki enterprise issuing ca within trusted network.

unfortunately can't use websrv firewall preventing port 80 communications.

i use certreq utility create request file on dmz server, copy request file intranet server submit request pki server.

everything working when import cer file, private key missing therefore handshake authentication failing - suspected since cer doesn't contain private key.

is possible request certificate using certreq.exe while having private key contained within (pfk format)?

i can't use iis mgr - request offline certificate because messes subject name of certificate.

i'm following kb article: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/931351

thanks,
-matt

don't worry - using certreq -accept <cer> brought in private key that's required.  issue solved.  thanks!
