Instant file initialization with TDE

hi,

tde disables instant file intialization.

i tested on sql server 2012 enterprise edition.

adding 5gb existing database file takes 50 milliseconds instant file initialization.

after enabling tde on database, same operation takes 20 seconds.

any workarounds?

any plans make faster?

tde encrypts data @ rest data on disk , take time obvious. tde encrypt  data , log file stored on disk @ page level. 

this tde overhead, not aware of ways remove , imo cannot.
