Re-attaching VMs in Server 2012 R2 Hyper-V?


is there way re-attach vms hyper-v server? server 2012 box died, vms stored on disk (d:\) thaught put vm-disk in 2012 r2-box , re-attach vms.

i know proper way exporting , importing, couldn't export vms choose register vm, , comes error:

the wizard cannot import virtual hard disks source folder 'd:\vms\vm1\'

failed disk information.

failed open attachment 'd:\vms\vm1\vm1.vhd". error: 'the file cannot accessed system.'.

thanks answers, weren't solution. remembered had data de-duplication on volume on previous server, installed dedup-feature , windows server recognised had enabled on volume. can import vms without issues (so far).

i hope didn't break trying work volume while server still dedup-unaware :x
