Using the PivotViewer Control on SharePoint?

i've been using awesome pivotviewer control @ work data visualization, , want deploy company intranet.  i'm not trying dynamic yet, can't figure out how load pivotviewer collection onto server such silverlight app can see it.

i've tested silverlight webpart simple 'hello world' app, , got work, can't figure out how load data external xap sharepoint, or how load cxml , deepzoom images in first place.

what best practice here?  is there other way load pivotviewer data sharepoint, or need hosted separately, locally iis?

where will data comes data? data sharepoint list? if sharepoint list worth have in sharepoint. if data in sql plain sl iis fast enough. if data sql sharepoint act role of iis of sharepoint features cannot used.

so decision based on datasource is.
