Why is a heartbeat network required w/Windows 2008?
hello all,
have simple 2-node windows 2008 cluster set in "node , disk majority" quorum configuration. failover works expected if disconnect either node. if understand correctly, if node goes down, other node + disk still provides quorum. in case, why necessary (or it) have private heartbeat network?
in advance!

old concepts take long time die....having said that, need redundant networks can support cluster communications amongst nodes in cluster not have single point of failure.
