Clear type setting is not being saved across rdp sessions

    • log in via rdp, turn clear type (cleartype) on, set how looks best you.
    • everything looks good.
    • close rdp session (you don't have log out)
    • open rdp session , you'll see cleartype no longer on.

i've read several things i think in error:

  • cleartype isn't supported in rdp: wrong of win7 , (?) win2008
  • the server examining cleartype settings on client , if it's not set on client, it's not set on server: in error also- it's on on win7 (64) client machine

unless can point me in direction of more authoritative sources, appears bug- 1 i'd love see fixed soon- cleartype such great thing it's hard go back.

please note cleartype functionality known font smoothing in rdc. ensure font smoothing check in rdc -> options -> experience tab. also, verify log in same user has configured cleartype.

in addition, of course supported in windows 2012 , window 8 client. more detailed information, may refer following article.
