Enable flow control on a Hyper-V created Virtual NIC in 2008 R2 Core.

greetings,

we have create new 2008 r2 hyper-v cluster , in process of implementing of settings documented in our design. 1 of settings enable flow control virtual nic created when network port turned shared (both host , guests can access it) virtual network. far have found plenty of examples of how enable flow control , other settings netsh, have been unable find way enable "flow control".

these settings aren't problem physical nics not turned virtual network on host use nic software our hardware vendor, , virtual nics created in guest oss have gui make changes, can't figure out if there netsh or other command enable setting virtual nics in host windows 2008 r2 core os. prefer microsoft solution in lieu of 3rd party $$$ solution, @ point want wrap deployment.

thanks pointers.

after getting no fast on question, went , compared windows 2008 r2 gui (non-core) server , looked @ virtual adapater. appears if there no setting flow control on virtual adapaters, setting appears apply physical adapaters (which have taken care of hardware vendor's configuration utility). may make sense if controlled @ physical layer, again think same rules apply jumbo packets.

so unless tells me differently, assume can control checksum offloading, large send offloading, , jumbo packets, not flow control on virtual network adapters.
