Windows 2008 DC

we have windwosn 2000 domain , funtional level.

i wanting update windows 2008 dc. have windows 2008 server build , on network member server , working fine. wondering if has had experience adding 2008 server secondary domain controller. seventually after being secondary domain controller promote primary domain controller.

i have been testing in test enviroment while. wanted know if has done it production , trials/tribulations have experienced.

first of there no primary , secondary dc. dcs rw except rodcs.

to upgrade 2008 ad ds, refer microsoft article: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc731188(ws.10).aspx

proceed mentioned in article able add 2008 server dc. once done, transfer fsmo roles dc.

it recommanded have @ least 2 dc/dns/gc server per domain.
