laptop icon and desktop flickering/not working

hello, ham having issues windows 8 laptop

my laptop hp envy m6 , working fine yesterday after restarting , updating

however today tried turning on met blank screen. tried restarting removing , replacing batteryended doing @ least 4 times until ended starting did when first bought it, multicoloured background changed colours captions 'installing apps'.

when completed able log on, 3 icons have shown up, desktop icon, hp support systems , green applications icon. unable access of them because laptop screen keeps flashong , wont let me cliick on them. manages onto internet accessing task manager , using microsoft management console.

i laptop working again , ome greatley appreciated.
