Recursive DNS

i have not yet had chance try out recent beta of longhorn, have following question/request sure pretty every administrator in world using windows server has:

will longhorn's dns server no longer open?
ie longhorn's dns server support "views" in bind?

if not, why not?

>> longhorn's dns server no longer open?
when "open" mean?  if asking if windows server "longhorn" dns based on internet standards, answer yes.

 >> longhorn's dns server support "views" in bind?
this not feature in longhorn server dns.  there no plans support "split-brain dns" single dns server responding different data according origin of query.

do feel important feature?  also, implementing views bind?

>> if not, why not?
in our longhorn server planning did not find lot customer demand feature.

our suggested best practice when customers need have 2 different sets of data same zone, setup 2 different zones same domain on 2 different dns servers. zones separated , designated serve either internal or external network. internal dns queries answered using zone data on internal dns server, while external dns queries served using different dns server. separation creates more secure environment not exposing internal dns servers external network (internet).
