RemoteApp slow process

please assist, run scenario:

a user normal permission

1.       rdp – can rdp in, when pull app up, , click print, process slow (2mins) pull printers list

2.       remote app - i pull app up, , click print, process slow (2mins) pull printers list

 

a user admin permission

1.       rdp – i can rdp in, launch app,  click print, process fast (5 secs) pull printers list

2.       remote app - i pull app up, , click print, process slow (2mins) pull printers list

according description, please check printer driver, update latest version in client pc , terminal server.

 

it’s takes 2 minutes print  page rd session,  please check event viewer in both server , client whether error or alarms in event log.

you can disabled use easy print first in group policy test whether same issue still exists.

 

by default, windows server 2008 or 2008 r2 terminal server first tries use terminal services easy print driver. if client computer not support driver, terminal server looks matching printer driver installed on terminal server. can either install matching printer driver on terminal server, or can create custom printer mapping file.

 

you can using group policy settings printer redirection:

 

policy settings in node control printer configuration terminal services sessions.

 

the full path of node in group policy management console is:

computer configuration\policies\administrative templates\windows components\terminal services\terminal server\printer redirection
