The Deploy folder disapears after running diskpart

i using windows deployment deploy windows 7 , server 2008 r2.  use usb drive created using toolkit capture , deploy images.  when boot usb drive use diskpart create drives , partitions, deploy directory disapears completly.  rest of usb disk left in tact.  has happend several times.  here steps doing increase size of os drive on hp servers.

1.  boot windows deployment usb drive

2.  use imagex capture existing partitions (imagex /capture /compress fast c: g:\c_drive.wim "node name c drive")

3.  once images captured power down server, insert smartstart cd , recreate mirror , larger partition os disk

4.  boot usb drive

5.  create required partitions

   diskpart

   list disk

   select disk 0

   create partition primary size=300

   select  partition 1

   active

   format quick

   assign

   create partition primary

   format quick

   assign

   select disk 1

   create partition primary

   format quick

   assign

   exit

6.  @ point attempt run imagex apply images captured earlier , "deploy" directory gone.  images still on disk, boot directory still on disk

the first time happend thought maybe had clicked delete directory.  has happend several times.   have ideas?

additional information.

i have found happens when windows deployment usb drive has been discovered c:

once click on "exit command prompt" possible cleanup ? script removes c:\deploy.  able run mentioned commands unable run imagex since no longer exists.

if windows deployment usb drive has been discovered other c: problem not occur.
