Effects of Disabling Null Sessions on Domain Controllers
i have been tasked finding out happen our domain controllers , systems depend on them when make change disable null sessions on our domain controllers. disabling them resolve security hole discovered audit.
normally, change registry setting , see breaks, don't have option now. reason caution noticed member servers randomly connecting anonymously ipc$ share on dcs. wouldn't open files, open share session, disconnect few seconds later.
what suspect, cannot prove, member servers check if domain "still there" or effect. if that's case, seems disabling null sessions cause problems. if offer insight, appreciate it.
thanks.

hi sk,
the reason caution noticed member servers randomly connecting anonymously ipc$ share on dcs. wouldn't open files, open share session, disconnect few seconds later.
i don’t see way disable behavior, because can detected after happened, , without detecting cannot disable it.
best regards,
amy
