Datagrid not accepting any special characters

hi using silverlight 2 march tool kit.

i have datagrid bound data source column bound class property of type string.

now when type text , go next column, if has special characters cell content erased. if contains characters or number or alpha numeric contents retained.

is normal behaviour or missing out something.
