GPO to remove Shutdown button doesn't work on Windows 7 clients.

i created gpo following settings:

  • computer configuration\administrative templates\system/group policy\user group policy loopback processing mode = enabled, mode = merge
  • user configuration\administrative templates\start menu , taskbar\remove , prevent access shut down, restart, sleep, , hibernate commands = enabled

the gpo enforced , applies ou computer objects. loopback processing should allow user settings apply regardless of user object located in ad long computer object in ou. authenticated users have apply permissions gpo.

the gpo works xp workstations, not windows 7. there policy setting accomplish same thing? there i'm missing?

i found reason gpos not applying these computers: set using forensit's profile manager sets single local profile shared domain users. have figure out how edit profile.
