Remote connection to SQL server

i written program in c# uses sql databases.

now want:

people use program use database on computer anywhere in world.

how setup port forwarding , else... i'm clueless...

and 1 more thing computer doesnt have fixed ip address.

what you're asking broad reaching question, needs other questions answered first.

which edition of sql server using?  remember most database instances have people connecting require cals.  developer edition cannot used in "production"situation.

you need configure sql instance listen requests coming in via tcp/ip.  sql express , developer editions both have turned off default.  can enabled using sql server configuration manager , use network configuration section.

for port forwarding, different every modem/router/firewall.  need figure out how yourself, need forward port 1433 modem computer.

because computer doesn't have fixed ip, make use of service dyndns.org, lets create publicly accessable url gets redirected home ip.

don't forget you'd need have system turned on 24/7.

is there a reason need/want host database?
