Windows 8, Word 2013 & Print defaults...


i've got several win8 computers running office 2013 & have xerox phaser 3635 mfp set network printer, print to. of printed letters. have pre-printed letterheads in tray 2 & plain paper in tray 1. trying have first page print tray 2 & others tray 1 & have thought set in word, it's not working & i'm getting different results each computer, seems!

one computer might print pages tray 2 (where pre-printed letterheads at), while have job hang @ printer, asking me put right kind of paper in there (it is), or wants confirmation it's ok print!

all computers connect printer via tcp/ip port, not shared printer off of win2k8 server.

where/how start right???


so, how did print document?

or follow steps below on both computers:

1, start word , open document printed

2, click file - print

3, select custom print right under settings,

4, type 1 in pages input box

5, click printer properties, paper/quality, select tray 2 under paper source

6, click print

7, click file - print

8, select custom print right under settings,

9, type 2-40 in pages input box (assume have 40 pages in document in total)

10, click printer properties, paper/quality, select tray 1 under paper source

11, click print
