Defrag software for server?

alright, don't asking help, i'm desperate. i'm dir of mid-size company around 8 windows servers , less 1000 computers running windows 7. we're power users around here however, i've yet figure out solution deal fragmentation - on servers.
i've been windows user since days , it's hard believe these issues still exist windows file system. listen, take more stable file system on flashy graphics in windows 8 day. bottom line - our employees are workaholics , work remotely @ hours. can't run manual or schedule defrag job on these servers without interfering significantly performance of applications run.
take exchange - microsoft recommends running the defragmentation process during off-hours and preferable with the exchange databases stopped (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/328804). really? don't have "off-hours" - option!?!
take our file servers - pretty hammered constant data transfers going on - high rate of file editing around here. microsoft recommend here? well, defragmentation utility on windows 2008 turned off default - tell you? should run manually right? not if want keep job...
if sound frustrated - it's because am. rest of community do?

your environment why created diskeeper.  point out, effects of file , free space fragmentation far reaching.  every file stored , referenced windows can affected.  when application needs read/write data , file system has determined spans more single range of lcns, "split i/o" happens each extent of file.  increases amount of i/o traffic sent storage system.  each i/o takes measurable amount of time , 1 of major causes of poor application performance , behavior.  true both physical , virtual systems.  not addressed or handled san storage manufactures have falsely stated.

waiting around , allowing fragmentation build , address in traditional way isn't ideal solution.  sure agree better apporach proactive , prevent fragmentation occuring in first place.  avoids overhead of traditional break/fix defrag aspect , gives performance improvement right @ time file being created/modified.  when file need moved, diskeeper without taking system resources away other improtant activities.

there no need stop exchange or force users log out see benefits diskeeper provides.  in fact, diskeeper (now condusiv technologies) listed microsoft exchange partner.
