DDNS overwriting static records
hello,
we have encountered situaton manually created dns record, pointing website, got overwritten win xp dhcp client having same hostname website. rendered website unavailable.
using win 2008 dhcp / dns. dhcp set update dns on behalf of client (and member of dnsupdateproxy group). dns set allow secure updates.
we have tried stripping rights of static dns record, since dhcp can take ownership "re-registers" record.
is there anyway prevent occuring? (other turning of ddns or dhcp updating dns :) ). there someway can protect records ever being overwritten?
