Roaming profiles for Terminal Servers only?

we have remote desktop server farm, 2 server 2008 r2 terminal servers.  users setup roaming profiles, using share under remote desktop services user profile tab in ad.

most users have thin clients, works users log pcs , experiencing issues printing ie:  http://support.microsoft.com/kb/973479

how can setup roaming profiles take effect if user logs terminal servers?

hi,

thanks posting.

refer ms article:

if not configure profile path or home folder on remote desktop services profile tab, settings configured on profile tab used, remote connections. if settings configured on both tabs, settings configured on remote desktop services profile tab take precedence on settings configured on profile tab remote connections.

our test proved this, here want confirm configured “profile path” @ “remote desktop services profiles” tab not “profile” tab in aduc. , user logon roaming profile when logon local pc. please check advanced system properties, @ user profiles tab, check profile type.

i notice post: have folder redirection enabled well.

which folders have set redirection? has include %appdata% folder?

refer articles provided, know printer issue caused missing “tmp”,”temp” folder. these folders sub-folder of %appdata%.

please check , give feedback further troubleshooting.
