Need for Multi-Threaded Visual Basic.NET to SQL Server Data Access Example Code

of visual basic.net data access books have purchased , internet site example code have reviewed, none have had examples of multi-threaded vb.net code doing data access.

i trying avoid non-responsiveness in vb app while a simple data retrieval sql server 2005 in progress.

if knows of book titles or web sites have example code (good or not) of multi-threaded vb.net applications doing data access against microsoft sql server (7, 2000, or 2005) or against microsoft access(tm), appreciated if provide book title or url point me in right direction.

the more examples better.

i've never seen database programming books that cover specific topic.  may want start looking .net books cover multi-threaded programming in .net.   past experience, remember it bit tricky.
