Windows 2K8R2 Shared Folder Authentication
hi,
here problem please let me know solution on issue.
i have domain networked computers these spec
dc : w2k3 r2 file servers : w2k3 , w2k8 r2 clients : windows xp 32 bit , windows 7 64 bit
i have 2 users mode , ex : =administrator of domain ,b = normal users limited access
have , active directory user name/password log in clients , if want use internet should make vpn connection linux server authentication forward me through internet gateway (by may domain credentials).now here problem
i have shared folders in w2k8 r2 special share , ntfs permission , share folders in w2k3 special share , ntfs permission.
if want connect w2k8 r2 windows 7 client logged in b credential(normal user) see shared folders have right permission on them
,now if close smb session , connect internet through vpn (as described before ) users(domain admin or powerful user) ,and again want open shared folder on w2k8 r2 open shared folders access of users, not b users logged in clients.
but not have problem on w2k3 or windows xp clients on conencting w2k8 r2.
note : disabled smb2 on w2k8 r2 , in group policy of w2k8 r2 lan manager authentication level set :send ntlm response (like w2k3)
please let me know comment or solution
hi,
please let me know if issue occurs on windows 7 client? if not please try clear saved credential on windows 7 , try vpn again.
meanwhile, whether radius server setup in domain? or whether connection manager administration kit (cmak) used setup connection?
also whether "automatically use windows logon name , password" option checked in dial-up box?
