Server 2008 SP2 Hyper-V - Stops Responding


i having sporadic issue stand alone hyper-v host server.  every month or vms (about 8) stop responding.  can ping them - cannot log vms , services on these vms stop responding - sql example.  have reboot physical server vm's work again.  notice lot of below warnings in event log when occurs.  planning on upgrading host os 2008 r2 w/sp1 (currently 2008 sp2).  know causing hoping os upgrade resolve issue (i have contigency plans). 

the description event id 129 source storvsc cannot found. either component raises event not installed on local computer or installation corrupted. can install or repair component on local computer.

if event originated on computer, display information had saved event.

the first thing check see if having intermittent storage problems.  have note heard of specific error before - sounds similar sort of behavior have seen disk failure (http://blogs.msdn.com/b/virtual_pc_guy/archive/2010/10/07/how-hyper-v-responds-to-disk-failure.aspx)
