External Trust

i need assign permission shared folder in resource domain (trusting domain). have a domain trusted domain b through external trust. created outgoing trust in domain , incoming trust in domain b , set dns forwarder.when try assign ntfs permission to domain b's universal group @ domain file share selecting domain b in selection, prompts me enter username , pwd of domain b. normal behaviour? how expect domain b administrator share un & pwd. bit confused.

can me understand this?

i following message when ran netmon

kerberosv5:krb_error  - kdc_err_s_principal_unknown (7)

rkart77,

this appears sound it's possibly a dns issue. can describe dns setup regarding how insuring both sides of trust can resolve other side (using conditional forwarding, stub zones, secondary zones, etc), dns servers dcs using, , dns servers other side of trust using, etc. if left out, please provide.

can provide step step you've used create trusts on each side? did verify it?

are there firewalls between forest , other forest?

also, ipconfig /all of pdc emulator on end , other side, would helpful.
