How to revert back from SSL to non-SSL on WSUS in Windows Server 2012 R2.

hi,

i testing wsus in home lab.

i configured wsus server in workgroup mode, made clients report in , check updates , apply them.

then configured root ca ( wsus service on member server part of domain, installed root ca on , got certificate issued ).

next configured iis instance wsus use ssl, , used wsusutil.exe make wsus listen port 8531 rather 8530.

all good, clients seem communicating wsus server ( made changes registry keys clients https @ 8531 ).

i wanted know if there way roll https http without doing full reset of wsus server configuration.

also, tested upstream <--> downstream setup, , see downstream server not allowed narrow down selective os versions , sub categories update selection rather forced follow upstream servers selection. there way around ?

hi. still need this? i've done quick research , doesn't easy, if @ possible, disable ssl once you've configured it. have considered reinstalling wsus? might "cleaner" way. regarding other question, can set downstream sever work in autonomous mode - https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc720448(v=ws.10).aspx. hope helps!
