Task Scheduler randomly fails to kick off scheduled PowerShell script because of "logon failure"
still trying learn how use task scheduler kick off powershell scripts. far, lot of forum, have figured out how have t.s. kick off ps script, @ 10 minute intervals, peeks @ given remote machine , sends me email if remote machine not reachable (using test-connection -quiet) , seems function planned.
the problem occassionaly--3 separate times between 2 , 7 morning--t.s. has reported logon failure error and not started task. task ran correctly 10 minutes prior these errors , again @ next scheduled time 10 minutes after these errors, making them feel rather random me. idea might causing logon failure?
my story that--given morning timing of 3 of these errors--perhaps piece of logon process running on other server might 'asleep' , not 'wake up' fast enought prevent t.s. logon attempt timing out; guess of course.
anyone have better idea of 'real' issue causing might be, please?
