Confirmation needed about TFS upgrade and original server both running on same network.

we have a tfs 2008 server running on our network. it's time upgrade created new tfs2010 test lab server (off network). ths tfs 2008 server fresh os install not clone or "image" of tfs 2008 box. on tfs 2010 box installed sharepoint 2010, copied tfs databases the tfs 2008 server, , successfuly upgraded sharepoint 2010 component. next i want to upgrade tfs component but want move tfs 2010 machine test lab same network our tfs 2008 server. both servers @ same time.  there forseeable issues (e.g. related tfs guids) setup?

there no issues having both servers @ same time.  follow instructions here: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms252516.aspx.  explains need restore data different server. steps dealing "tfsconfig" important work ones remap db settings new server.
