Remove the "Network" icon, that allows you to see other computers, in Windows Explorer.
i have windows server 2008 r2 using terminal server. dc sbs 2008 forest , domain function level of 2003. trying remove network icon shows on left pane of windows explorer. have enabled following gp; user configuration\administrative templates\start menu , taskbar\remove network icon start menu. first thought disabling computer browser service fix, wasn't running. ideas?
hi,
i’m afraid cannot filter domain users if it’s per computer settings.
as workaround, can configure policy, such group policy preference->registry or logon script change value of [hklm\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\policies\nonenum\{f02c1a0d-be21-4350-88b0-7367fc96ef3c}"] domain users.
apply policy domain users , assign modify permission of above key domain users.
thanks.
