Iterate through rows of dataset in report's custom code

hello,

how can iterate through rows of dataset in custom code?
have report containing dataset. pass dataset parameter custom code function. then? reference available members etc.?
here dummy sample code far:

public function showparametervalues(byval ds dataset) object()   dim codes() object   array.resize(codes,dc.???.count)   codes(0)=ds??(field???)(row??)   return codes end function

as task want accomplish simple, want keep in custom code instead of writing custom assemblies etc.

a dataset in reporting services not same type of object ado.net dataset.  report dataset internal object managed ssrs runtime (it's derived datareader object) , not xml structure containing datatables, etc. , cannot passed report's custom code.

the way loop through rows of report dataset call custom function or referenced method in report data region expression.  using technique, may possible pass of the row , field information code structure, array or collection.

honestly though, if need have level of control, may better off developing web form rather report.  goal of ssrs simplify reporting process rather providing extensible programming environment.  use reporting services effectively, need think report designer, working product it's designed, , not think programmer.
