Storage Spaces: Operational Status: Unknown:Unknown ... It would be great though if the operational status reported i.e. detached instead of unknown:unknown

apparently operational status of unknown: unknown after system failure can mean virtual disk detached need reattach

it great though if operational status reported i.e. detached instead of unknown:unknown

not great , worrying disk can report operational status of unknown: unknown - while being ok?

i.e. recon folks quite used seen if disk listed unknown, raw, no file system, no status ... it's issue time? not here?

an experience:

after host env got bsod'ed ... took @ storage storage. oh, there virtual disk warning , operational status of unknown: unknown. no failures on physical disks. volume gone. no list of disk either.

completely vanished. opertional status of unknown: unknown. operational status, host os crashed during guest vm's backup operation , storage spaces being new stuff cared virtual disk may in bad shape storage spaces because reporting operational status of unknown: unknown after event.

so went repair-virtualdisk -friendlyname thisdisk ... runs ... no report @ all. -verbose option. nothing. not ok.

no bad, no ok, no false, no true. reporting null: ...

so went management interface. should delete , restore?

i had right click more on virtual disk being reluctant attach virtual disk. well, thats it. "attach" virtual disk.

apparently operational status of unknown: unknown after system failure can mean virtual disk detached need reattach - , repair-virtualdisk reporting "nothing" (i.e. cmdlet not process in background i.e. need -verbose?) means virtual disk ok.
