on host (running windows 2008 r2 datacenter) i have serveral vms running few have second pass through disk lun going them (data drives). upon doing system restart on host luns changed there positons on host machine. iscsi mappings no longer worked. had manually remap them. is there way make sure luns keep same number, if host restarted vms can restart correct drives? this os problem. san drivers still attached hyper v couldn't assign drivers right iscsi drive because drive number had changed. caused server reboot , server reassigned drives different spots. have since done few reboot tests , far drives have kept same number.
